PV Travels to Vietnam - Crown at Future Energy Show Vietnam

On July 12th, the 2023 Future Energy Show Vietnam opened in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.Crown brought its overall solution for solar cell encapsulating material to the show, and attracted high levels of attention from customers from all over the world.

Environmentally Friendly Technology 

Committed to Creating Overall Solutions for Encapsulating Material 

Crown has been in the solar backsheet business for over a decade, its shipment amount of environmentally friendly fluorine-free BO backsheets ranks first in the world, and it has received zero complaints from its end users in 16 years. Given the technological changes in the industry, Crown is committed to creating overall solutions for solar cell encapsulating material using the polymer material technologies that it has developed over the years. 


At the Future Energy Show Vietnam, Crown exhibited its environmentally friendly fluorine-free BO backsheet series and ISARD encapsulation film series. The environmentally friendly fluorine-free BO backsheet is a product independently developed by Crown which is characterized by its excellent resistance to moisture, heat, abrasion and UV, and high level of environmental suitability. 


The BO transparent mesh backsheet designed for the Vietnam market attracted the attention of many customers. With reliable performance and lightweight properties, it increases the energy output by over 1% compared with a bifacial glass-glass module. The black mesh has a pleasant appearance that perfectly suits roof DG installation and meets 40% of roof bifacial module requirements in the United States. 

 

In addition, Crown exhibited POE, EPE and EVA encapsulation films. These products are characterized by excellent resistance to PID, high conservation rate of adhesive strength after ageing and high encapsulation yield, and they can all be produced by the Crown factory in Vietnam. Also exhibited were the HJT third-gen and fourth-gen encapsulation films with high adhesive strength, high water resistance and strong light conversion capacity, designed for N-type cell technology. 

 

Crown also exhibited the Actinia mesh film designed for N-type busbar-free cells. This product enhances the adhesion between the busbar-free cell and encapsulation film, as well as reducing the low-temperature silver paste consumption of the HJT cell by 45%, thus maximally reducing the cost of HJT cells. 

 

Aggressive Strategy in the Southeast Asian Market 


Continuously Creating Value for Customers 

In the past few years, the PV enterprises of China have built plants in Southeast Asia in an attempt to evade the high tariffs on PV products imposed by the United States. Crown seized the opportunity to initiate its strategy in the Southeast Asian market much earlier. In 2019, Crown founded Crown (Vietnam) in Việt Yên District, Bac Giang, Vietnam. This branch can serve all customers in Southeast Asia and provide them with products and services much faster. Its customers include LONGi, JA Solar, Risen, Hanwha, REC, Maxoen and Waaree. Now, Crown has the production capacity for 10GW of solar backsheets and 10GW of encapsulation film in Vietnam.

In brief, Crown exhibited its professional competency and technical innovation capacity in solar PV technology at the Future Energy Show Vietnam.
